LAND OF OPPORTUNITY
Like our vines, our family roots in the Okanagan run deep. In 1958, Mehtab Gidda came to our “Land of Wonder” with a dream of farming and only $5 in his pocket. In 1978 we officially began growing our grapes. 3 generations, 60 years, and a lot of hard work later… we are proud of what happens when you pursue a dream.
Our name has been inspired by our land. Situated on the SE slope of Mt. Boucherie, a 60 million year old dormant volcano, Volcanic Hills Winery takes it’s name from the rich volcanic soils surrounding it. This is a land of opportunity, this is the terroir of the Okanagan.

So far I have really enjoyed the Merlot from Volcanic Hills. The Merlot has so much flavour and surprisingly full bodied. I haven’t tried them all yet but definitely Looking forward to enjoying the others!
2020 Gamay Noir
2017 Reserve Chardonnay
2021 Zweigelt Late Harvest (200 mL)
Beautiful light golden colour with touch of lime green. On the nose very fruit forward with tropical aromas like pineapple, peach pie. Subtle oak indicators but fruit is dominant. On the palate juicy and balanced, very good concentration and wonderful structure. Mild sweetness rounds out this fantastic Chardonnay with character plus. Great acidity and long, pleasant finish.
Fantastic service, beautiful decor, we were at the window seat and enjoyed our time
We really enjoyed the 2020 Gidda Wine and look forward to sipping more :)
One of the very best in the Okanagan! Beautiful on the palate with a lingering after taste.
I like pinot noir and lava red but this one is the one I prefer
This is an easy-drinking wine that can be enjoyed by itself without any snacks. I love the mild sweetness with fruity, jammy taste on the palate.
Very good wine, ordering again
