This year’s Merlot is deep ruby in colour and showcases aromas and flavours of cocoa dust, dark plum, black cherry, raisins, pie crust, leather, oregano and tomato leaf. The dry palate is full bodied offering up plush velvety tannins, balanced acidity, and well integrated oak on the long finish.
Ideally served next to the fire, under the stars. This wine pairs beautifully with Blue Cheese Burgers topped with caramelized onions, Beef Bourguignon, red-sauced pastas, or as a side dish – try roasted root vegetables.
