LAND OF OPPORTUNITY
Like our vines, our family roots in the Okanagan run deep. In 1958, Mehtab Gidda came to our “Land of Wonder” with a dream of farming and only $5 in his pocket. In 1978 we officially began growing our grapes. 3 generations, 60 years, and a lot of hard work later… we are proud of what happens when you pursue a dream.
Our name has been inspired by our land. Situated on the SE slope of Mt. Boucherie, a 60 million year old dormant volcano, Volcanic Hills Winery takes it’s name from the rich volcanic soils surrounding it. This is a land of opportunity, this is the terroir of the Okanagan.

Had an issue with my order but it was looked after quickly and expertly. I ordered two sampler and a single bottle of Eruption. I have only tried the Merlot 2018 and it was excellent. Thank you Volcanic winery.

Amazing wine and always order this 2020 single vineyard Gewurztraminer

I purchased two sampler pkg and there was an issue. After reaching out to Volcanic Hills the issue was resolved quickly and with no judgement. That to me is a great sign of a very great company. Have only sampled one bottle, the Merlot 2018, and it was excellent. I’m not a connoisseur but I do know what I like. VHW thank you for your great costumer service and great wine.

The 2020 Gidda Family Estate Zweigelt is outstanding and will find it's way to my home as long it is available for purchase from the winery. Sylvia Jurys

It in my opinion goes with everything. It’s a great sipper, but can hold its own paired with a steak, to a BBQ hamburger or a hearty salad for dinner.

2020 Gidda Family Estate Royale II (Blanc de Blancs)

Seamless purchasing and shipping of wine as a Christmas gift to Manitoba. Excellent service and delivery. Very impressed.

This wine a become the new favorite of our mini wine tasting group. A very unique blend, that is full bodied and not overly sweet. Best enjoyed with a variety of cheese, crackers and conversation. Yes we are ordering a new supply.

The dessert wine pairing was amazing. Generous pours of delicious dessert wines that paired perfectly with equally delicious and good sized portions of chocolate, baked treats and cheeses. One of the winery owners gave us a history of the winery and explained the wines and each suggested pairing. Overall a really worthwhile experience.

2021 Zweigelt Late Harvest (200mL)

Always my fave. The ice wine in the blend makes it the perfect level of sweetness.
