Why is there an Alberta Regulatory Fee on my order?

The Alberta Regulatory Fee is a charge required by the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) on all wine sold in the province, including direct-to-consumer orders. This fee has always been part of Alberta's liquor system and is applied to ensure fairness between wineries in Alberta and those shipping from outside the province. It is not a new fee or an extra charge from our winery; it simply covers the same requirement that applies to all wine sold in Alberta. When you place an order with a shipping address in Alberta, this fee will be added at checkout and itemized on your receipt for transparency.
