Really enjoyed the bottle I received. Will be back for more!
I am soooooo glad, that I requested your Cabernet Franc into our last wine shipment. Light bodied but still has weight, perfect with red meat. We are planning to reorder again.
Volcanic Hills continues to be one of my favourite Okanagan wineries. The Cabernet Franc has a rich flavour that makes it a fantastic wine.
Garnet colour throughout, semi-transparent. On the nose, it is fruit forward with cherries being most predominant. There is also green pepper typical of this variety, and toasted nuts from the use of oak which is not heavy-handed. On the palate this wine is juicy, tannins are firm but silky, and there is concentration but still feels thin with medium body. Acidity is notable and makes this Cab Franc a good partner with food, especially red meat.
A lovely fat bodied glorious thing it is. it makes a roast beast sing.
