We Won! WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada - Top 10

We sent three of our wines to be judge in the WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada competition and all three of them placed in the top 10 in CANADA. We couldn't be more proud to be able to share our 2015 Merlot, our 2019 Rose, and our 2018 Pinot Gris with you.

 

We Won!

At the end of 2020 we got some pretty fantastic news! We had submitted our 2018 Pinot Gris, 2015 Merlot, and 2019 Rose for review by Canada's top Wine Judges at Wine Align. These guys are tough... like your worst calculus teacher tough when it comes to evaluating wines. Well, the results are in and we want to tell you how it went!

 

 What is WineAlign?

First of all, if you're unfamiliar with the WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada, it is basically a competition where wine judges from across the country, get together to taste and categorize the wines, rate them, and review them for consumers. This year, with the restrictions in place due to Covid-19, they had the participating wineries pre-select what they deemed to be their best wines, and each winery sent them to their Toronto office for tasting by five Ontario WineAlign judges and critics. They received 860 wines in 15 categories, and tasted them – physically distanced – over a five-week period in October and November. The panel consists of Masters of Wine and Master Sommelier's alike - along with leading wine journalists.

 

The Results:

ALL 3 of the wines we entered earned a TOP 10 IN CANADA placement! We couldn't be more thrilled with these results. Don't just take our word for it...
