2022 Pinot Noir

Description:

Medium bodied and vibrant with enticing aromas of black plum, red cherries, violet, graphite, vanilla, and a hint of cigarillo.  The palate showcases structured fine tannins and juicy acidity – all while brimming with flavours of dates, ripe plums, fresh picked cherries, and a kiss of vanilla. Ideally served slightly chilled. Smooth fine tannins and juicy acidity make this ideal for pairing with most dishes.

Perfect Pairing:

Ideal for quiet time curled up with a loved one or a great book!  Looking for a culinary adventure?  Try it with wild mushroom gnocchi, duck breast, barbeque chicken, lentils, tomato-based pasta dishes, or stuffed portobello mushrooms.

Vineyard Notes

100% of the grapes are self-rooted in gravel and clay soils and come from our Scharf Road East vineyards which were planted in 1992, 1998 and 2008. The cool wet spring of 2022 gave this vintage a slow start, fall offered many warm dry days extending past the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend.  The wines from this vintage show bright acidity, a beautiful fruit profile, and a strong case for ageing. Aged 12 months in 100% New French oak.
