In 2021, the Gidda family introduced Kissan, a wine brand inspired by the generations of farmers who came before us.
“Kissan” means farmer, and the name reflects a family story rooted in agriculture. From our great-grandfather Mehtab Singh’s farm in India to the Okanagan apple orchards he began tending in 1965, and the vineyards our family farms today, Kissan was created to honour our connection to the land.
Originally made exclusively for restaurants and hospitality partners, these wines were rarely available directly to our winery customers. Now, for a limited time, we are opening the cellar and bringing together three Kissan wines and three Volcanic Hills favourites in one specially priced red wine collection.
It is an opportunity to discover a lesser-known chapter of our family’s winemaking story and enjoy exceptional Okanagan reds at case-lot pricing.
