Production Notes

Vineyard Notes

100% of the grapes used for making this Gewürztraminer were grown in our Elliott and Smith Creek Road vineyards. These vines were planted throughout 1980 – 2009 and are all self-rooted. 2022 has been reported as one of the best vintages in decades. But it did not start that way. A harsh winter and cool wet spring delayed budbreak and lowered yields in much of the Okanagan. However, a beautifully warm and long summer and fall created an idyllic growing season with extended ripening. This has resulted in high intensity but lower volume wines with wonderful acidity, complexity, and depth.
