Pinot Gris 2011
- Pinot Gris
- Okanagan Valley, British Columbia
- Bottle size
- 750 mL
This un-oaked Pinot Gris is pale straw in color with aromas of Asian pear, lime, mango and honeysuckle. The palate is juicy with tropical fruit, Anjou pears and a clean, dry, lemon-lime finish. Pinot Gris is also known as Pinot Grigio in Italy. It’s the same grape, but the difference is in the style of the wine made - when called Pinot Gris, it may be oaked or un-oaked. When called Pinot Grigio it is always un-oaked. Pinot Gris is a white variant-clone of the red grape Pinot Noir and normally has greyish-blue fruit. Serve at: 8 – 10⁰ C and best consumed with 2 – 3 years of vintage.
