The nose displays sweet cherry and vanilla with hints of spice and subtle floral notes of violets. This leads you into a palate dominated by more dark cherry and vanilla, juicy raspberry and just a touch of cloves, cinnamon and black pepper, all framed with a light toasty oak.
Aged for 12 months in French oak.
Serve at 14-16⁰ C and best consumed within 5 - 6 years of vintage
- Recommended food pairings
- It’s the quintessential food wine. Try it with grilled salmon, bbq’d chicken and lasagna, or, slice into a good cut of plain roast beef. Also delicious with savoury foods like mushroom flavoured dishes, braised lamb with roasted beets or goat cheeses.
