100% of the grapes used for making the 2018 Zweigelt Icewine are self-rooted and came from vines planted in 1994, on-site at the winery. Following the strict BC VQA guidelines, Icewine must be produced from grapes naturally frozen on the vine, and pressed while the air temperature is -8 degrees Celsius or lower. This year the grapes were picked Dec 7^th at -9⁰ C.

Light orangey/golden hues, with aromas of orange marmalade, with peach, fig and earth tones. Delicious strawberry and peach jam, dried apricot, fig and raisin flavours lead to a long and luxurious finish. Best to enjoy the wine when youthful and fresh as the flavours are far more vibrant. Serve at 6-8⁰C. As icewine ages the fruit develops more honeyed characteristics and caramelize with nutty flavours.
